Which CNC house are you staying at?
I moved into my own apartment in October 2020, but I spent 18 months at Isaiah House.
Why did you apply to live at a CNC house?
I am a military veteran who served in the Marine Corps and was released from prison after 25+ years, in the spring of 2019. My first housing was at another facility that was not a good situation. I met Tony through a connection at my Parole Office. Tony offered me housing at Isaiah House, and it changed my life.
How is Christ transforming you into a New Creation?
I am a better person and at peace finally. With the help of Tony, Sal, and other volunteers at Isaiah House, I was able to stabilize my living situation, deal with my anger issues, and set myself on the best path for the rest of my life. I work at Isaiah House 5 days per week to cook meals for the residents. [Note from Christian New Creation: And he is a very good chef!]
I am staying connected to Isaiah House and working to give back to the residents – to share my experience and hopefully they will avoid my mistakes. I am 69 years old now and very content with where I am in life.
