Robert Ward, Isaiah House Manager at Christian New Creation (CNC), recently received a scholarship from the Society of the Companions of the Holy Cross to attend a retreat at Adelynrood Retreat Center in Byfield, Massachusetts. Robert was accompanied by CNC Executive Advisor to the Board Kevin Rung.
“Robert and I had the opportunity to think and pray about our missional community proposed project,” said Kevin. “We also ate a lot of seafood.”
Robert was grateful for the opportunity to refresh and reflect. “I enjoyed the peace that I had during my stay,” said Robert. “Perhaps the best part is that I was able to bring that peace back with me to Houston.”
Robert attributed this peace to the six days of daily morning prayer in the Adelynrood Chapel, the beautiful environment, wonderful mealtime conversations and Bible studies. “I am so grateful of having the opportunity to stay with the Companions and the other house guests,” said Robert.
