After much prayer and careful consideration, David Taylor has submitted his resignation as Chairman of the Board at Christian New Creation (CNC) in order to serve as Chairman of the Board at Harvest and Hope, a Houston-based nonprofit organization that addresses hunger through rescued food. Ray Solcher, CNC board member and Chairman Emeritus will now serve as Interim Chairman of the Board through the end of 2021. In December, a new Chairman of the Board will be appointed for the two-year period beginning January 1, 2022 to December 31, 2023.
During his tenure, David stimulated growth and positive change at Christian New Creation as well as formed deep connections with residents. The board is grateful for his leadership and the innumerable positive changes as well as growth that is a result of his efforts. “We are a far stronger organization thanks to David’s efforts,” says Ray. In addition to overseeing the strategic planning process, David launched a renewed effort of partnership building and the start of the new capital campaign.
David not only kept an eye on the big picture but was also consistently present in the CNC community and made a difference to many of our residents as they rebuilt their lives. Through his willingness to stretch out a helping hand in love, he formed one-on-one relationships with so many of our residents by serving as a mentor and sounding board. The Christian New Creation Community has witnessed these men becoming better sons, fathers and brothers, reuniting with their families, growing in their faith and reentering into society as productive citizens.
